AMYAE
Rough
knob-tails are quite unique in appearance. They have an oversized head,
a very small tail, and are covered with spiny tubercles. They occur throughout
central Australia, and their colors often resemble the red desert sands
on which they live. Nephrurus amyae is the largest species of Nephrurus
with some females getting up to 70g.
